Staying Incognito

I love watching spy movies and TV shows. But I wonder how a Jason Bourne or Jack Reacher would stay undercover in today’s world.

It seems like almost every square inch of both private and public space is under constant video surveillance. Coupled with the latest image recognition software, they would be spotted within minutes of getting outside their hideout.

The pandemic has made staying incognito difficult in other respects. A lot of businesses have gone cashless and many places expect you to have a smartphone to be able to order and pay for stuff.

I guess disguises and completely fake digital identities will be the norm for undercover agents.
